TOM HARRISON

Tom Harrison currently serves as Founder and CEO of Harvest Capital Partners, LLC, and is a Partner of New Edge Living. At Harvest Capital Partners, he is active in sourcing, structuring, and providing capital for value-add and development transactions and responsible for management oversight of real estate value-added and development projects. Tom has over 42 years of experience in executive leadership and accomplishments, delivering impressive investment returns in all types of commercial real estate. 

Prior to his current role, Tom provided leadership as a Managing Director and Head of Global Development for Colony Capital in development joint ventures, value-added investments, portfolio acquisitions, and asset management.  During his tenure as head of the global development group, he led the investment and development for numerous investments, including luxury resort properties in Hawaii, California, Texas, Nevada, Costa Esmeralda in Sardinia, and Morocco.

Before joining Colony in 1992, Tom was Executive Vice President of WSGP Partners, where he was responsible for real estate acquisitions from the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) and other distressed financial institutions.  Before WSGP, he held senior positions with three prominent national commercial development companies where he was responsible for the development of over $1.5 billion of real estate projects and the acquisition of over $250 million of income-producing properties and residential land.

Tom served from 2016 to 2020 as a member of the board of directors of William Lyon Homes (WLH), an NYSE-listed public homebuilder with over $2 billion in annual revenue. He left the Board of Directors at the completion of the merger of WLH with Taylor Morrison Homes, resulting in a combined company with $8 billion in annual revenue.  While on the board, Tom also served as Chairman of the Compensation Committee and as a member of the Corporate Governance and Audit Committees.  

Tom is an Urban Land Institute (ULI) Governor and a member of the ULI and was an active participant on the Recreational Development Council. 

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Masters in Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1975 and 1978, respectively. Additionally, Tom received his license as an architect in California in 1981 and was a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
